Welcome to DE KOM

Do you dream of starring in a musical, playing in a band or orchestra, dancing like a star in the ballet or exhibiting your own artwork? Then you are in the right place at DE KOM! We have everything to get the best out of you. DE KOM’s arts centre offers many different courses and lessons in music, dance, theatre, musical and visual arts for students up to the age of 21.

Mix & Match

The arts centre is the ideal place for people from different backgrounds, ages and interests to come together. There are wonderful music, dance, acting and recording studios and a visual arts atelier. In addition, DE KOM has a stunningly beautiful stage where you can shine too! Beside their teaching role, our teachers are also performing artists and they will, of course, guide you in this process. Our theatre technicians add the final touch to your performance with lights, sound and set. Furthermore, master classes are regularly organised in DE KOM, often by artists who also perform here themselves.

General Conditions

Lessons, courses and workshops are subject to the General Conditions of the arts centre, and registration always takes place by agreement. There are special funds for students from families with minimal financial resources, and we accept Stadspas or U-Pas. If you take multiple courses or have siblings who also take lessons, you will get a discount! Please read the full General Conditions carefully before signing up.

Try out and register

If this is your first time taking lessons or if you are curious about the possibilities, you can of course come and try out lessons first. Do you already know exactly what you want? Then you can also start right away. On this page, you can find registration forms for a trial lesson and/or the lessons and courses. Completed forms can be emailed to educatie@dekom.nl or dropped off at the front desk in DE KOM. If you have any questions or can’t figure it out, please contact the administration office.

Art education lessons and courses for adults (21 years and older) are offered by the independently operating teacher collective De KunstKombinatie: www.kunstkombinatie.com.
